Shelly DesChamps, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Shelly DesChamps is a Florida/ Georgia girl, through and through. She was raised in Taylor County, Georgia until the start of high school, and then moved to Citrus County, Florida. She received both her undergraduate degrees in Florida, and then headed to the Caribbean for veterinary school. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine for her preclinical curriculum, and then finished her clinical rotations at University of Florida. “Go Gators!” She worked at Animal Medical Center of Brooksville prior to attending Ross University, graduate of 2022, and then signed on with Animal Medical Center of Brooksville in July 2023 as a doctor.

Dr. Shelly was raised on a 160 acre farm, where horses were always a way of life, and they soon became her first love. She has completed in barrel racing, western pleasure, drill team, team penning and sorting, trail obstacles, and extreme cowboy racing. Her other hobbies include enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities with her husband. She enjoys attending concerts as well.
